As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council since 2008, MAPP is proud to help lead our industry’s push toward environmentally sustainable building practices and energy conservation. MAPP completed the first LEED® Gold project in Louisiana (Chevron Northpark in Covington) and is building what is expected to be the state’s first LEED® Platinum project (Global Green Community Center, New Orleans).
Currently, nine MAPP team members have achieved LEED Accredited Professional status including three LEED AP BD+C Project Managers. Fourteen employees are accredited as LEED Green Associates. In addition to Chevron Northpark, our LEED Gold portfolio features the CBRE office renovation and Ernst & Young Victory Park, both in Dallas. Among our completed LEED Silver projects are Orion Instruments (Baton Rouge) and the Plaquemines Parish (Louisiana) Animal Shelter.
In addition to seeking out LEED certified projects, MAPP makes green practices a priority in our offices through energy-efficient power, lighting and HVAC systems; a categorized recycling program; and the use of recycled paper and plant-based inks for all marketing materials. On projects, we actively advocate for sustainable building materials and practices—even when our clients choose not to pursue LEED certification.
