MAPP provides preconstruction and construction services for commercial construction projects including retail, office, mission critical, industrial, warehouse and distribution, hospitality, healthcare, banking and interiors.
The MAPP story is a classic example of American entrepreneurship and principled, client-focused growth. In 1991, project manager Michael Polito, armed with seven years’ experience with large Southeastern U.S. contractors, set out to establish a true alternative to traditional construction companies. After handpicking a unique team of experienced industry veterans and aggressive newcomers, Mike encouraged a company culture that valued personal accountability and responsibility; demanded integrity and professionalism; and thrived on ingenuity, innovation and pride in the purest ideals of building.
Fueled by a series of early successes, MAPP quickly became a sought-after resource in a highly competitive market. The company’s watershed moment came in 1993, when we were awarded the extensive $30 million Catfish Town Renovation project in Baton Rouge. Additional milestones include the LSU Tiger Stadium Expansion (1998); the Shaw Group World Headquarters (2000); and the Chevron Northpark office facility (2008), the first LEED® Gold certified project in Louisiana. Since our founding, MAPP has received numerous local, regional and national awards for construction excellence, safety performance and business ethics.
Today, with five regional offices and more than 30 years under our collective tool belt, MAPP continues to forge ahead, building daily on our roster of successful projects and repeat clients. Our philosophy, die-hard work ethic and strict attention to both budget and workmanship have proven to be an unbeatable combination—and essential to our mission: to excel. And it never hurts to have fun, doing what we love for great clients across the South.
The MAPP team takes pride in our ability to deliver client value at every phase of a commercial project.
