Chris has been a construction manager for over 26 years with experience in a variety of different types of construction in the Governmental and Private Sector. His experience is inclusive of both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build and ranges from managing the foundation, super-structure, and exterior skin on the 26 story Harrah’s Poydras St. Hotel to a $62 million, 7 project contract with the United States Navy.In the municipal arena, Mr. Watermeier was project manager for the $20 million post-Katrina repairs to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Phases I, II and III while concurrently managing the storm damage repairs to Harrah’s Casino. The Convention Center repairs were funded by Federal Public Assistance funds. A native of New Orleans, Chris attended Jesuit High School and then received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. Chris currently resides in River Ridge with his wife, Chenae and two children, Alex 20 and Sara 17.
