MAPP joined EVO Entertainment, city leaders, development partners, and community members on January 20, 2026 to celebrate the official groundbreaking of EVO's newest venue in Forney, Texas. Located within The Village at Gateway at 1065 Cypress Hollow Drive, the project marks the start of construction on what will become a major new entertainment destination for Forney and the surrounding communities.
Once complete, the 82,000-square-foot venue will bring together a state-of-the-art cinema experience, bowling, gaming and attractions, event space, and a full-service restaurant and bar all under one roof. The facility will house nine theaters, including an IMAX auditorium and two EVX auditoriums with Dolby Atmos sound, alongside 22 bowling lanes, more than 125 arcade games, rock climbing walls, a multi-level ropes course, bumper cars, and laser tag. A full-service bar and restaurant, private event and conference spaces, and an upper-level lounge round out the offerings.
The Forney location carries added meaning for EVO Entertainment. The venue honors the legacy of Lee Roy Mitchell, founder and former chairman of the board of Cinemark and a proud Forney native whose grandson, EVO CEO Mitchell Roberts, called the project a full-circle moment for the company. City leaders echoed that sense of connection at the groundbreaking, pointing to the shared spirit of community and legacy that Forney residents often describe as the "Forney Family."
MAPP is proud to be part of bringing this new entertainment destination to the Forney community, and we look forward to seeing this project come to life over the coming months. EVO Entertainment Forney is expected to open its doors this fall. Read more about the groundbreaking from EVO Entertainment and inForney.com.
