MAPP Completes Helicopter Lift of 40 Rooftop Units at EVO Entertainment

Jul 10, 2026

The MAPP project team reached a major milestone at the EVO Entertainment project in Forney, TX, completing the installation of 40 rooftop units (RTUs) using a helicopter lift. Each RTU weighed between approximately 1,000 and 3,000 pounds and was carefully flown into position on the building’s roof. Working alongside HVAC partner AIR817, the team coordinated every lift with precision, guiding each unit from the ground to its designated location on the roof.

Using a helicopter for the installation allowed the team to set all 40 units efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety. The approach also minimized disruption to ongoing work across the site, keeping other trades moving and the overall schedule on track. Lifts of this scale require careful planning, clear communication, and close coordination between the general contractor, the HVAC subcontractor, and the flight crew. The successful installation reflects the teamwork and preparation that went into the day.

With the rooftop units in place, the project has taken another significant step toward completing the building’s mechanical systems and advancing EVO Entertainment toward completion. MAPP thanks AIR817 and everyone involved for their hard work in making this milestone a success.
