MAPP was recognized with the Associated Builders and Contractors National Health & Safety Merit Award, presented at the 36th Annual National Excellence in Construction Awards during ABC Convention 2026 in Salt Lake City. The award is given to just 59 contractors nationwide, placing MAPP among a select group of organizations setting the standard for safety across the construction industry.
ABC's selection process evaluates incident rates, leading safety indicators, program innovation, and the overall strength of a contractor's safety management system. Winners are selected from ABC member firms that have achieved Diamond, Platinum, or Gold status in ABC's STEP Health and Safety Management System, a benchmark reflecting sustained, measurable safety performance rather than a single year or a single project. Being recognized among this group speaks to the strength of MAPP's approach and the commitment carried by our teams.
This recognition is built on more than performance metrics. It reflects how safety is embedded in the way MAPP plans, communicates, and takes care of one another every day, across jobsites and offices alike. It takes consistency, discipline, and shared accountability to operate at this level, with no shortcuts and no assumptions, just Doing the Right Thing every time.
Most importantly, this achievement belongs to every MAPPie who takes ownership of safety: who speaks up, stays aware, and chooses to do the right thing. It's reflected in daily habits, everyday conversations, and the decisions that keep our people safe. At MAPP, every team member is empowered to stop work on any project or activity they deem unsafe, and that mindset is at the heart of what this award represents.
We're proud of this recognition and grateful for the culture that makes it possible. Let's continue Raising the Bar.
