The U.S Green Building Council, USGBC, is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that certifies sustainable businesses, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods. USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education, and its LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Green Building Rating System. MAPP Construction is dedicated to being an environmentally safe general contractor and recently completed a Class A Office building for Chevron that is under review for Gold LEED certification. This will be the first Gold LEED buildling in the state of Louisiana, and, hopefully, the first of many for MAPP.
