Texas Developers Start Work on New Assisted Living and Memory Care Community
Construction has begun on Heartis Amarillo, an 89-unit assisted living and memory care community.
Dallas-based real estate firm Caddis Partners LLC is developing the 63,094-square-foot facility that will feature 54 assisted living suites and 35 memory care beds.
The memory care component of the project features a “Main Street” environment that includes a theater, ’50s-style diner, arts and crafts shop, as well as three interior courtyards, one of which dedicated to memory care.
Eugene, Oregon-based Good Neighbor Care will manage the community. The architect for Heartis Amarillo is Austin, Texas-based KATUS and the general contractor is MAPP Construction.
Financing is being provided by Amegy Bank.
Heartis Amarillo is expected to be completed in fall of 2014.
