MAPP completed the full renovation of the Ollie Steele Burden Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in partnership with FMOL. The 79,076-square-foot project was executed in three phases and included comprehensive upgrades to patient rooms and bathrooms, as well as new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the facility, including replacement of the existing chiller.
The building envelope was enhanced with new windows and roofing to address ongoing moisture intrusion, improving both performance and longevity. To stabilize the structure, helical piers were installed in select areas of the building perimeter where settlement had occurred. The renovation also introduced vibrant, technology-integrated common areas for patients and staff, along with a new porte-cochère at the main entrance.
Through careful planning and phased execution, MAPP successfully delivered a modernized healthcare environment that enhances comfort, functionality, and long-term resilience.
