Nexus Recovery Center - Doswell Medical Building

MAPP, in collaboration with HKS, led a design/build project for the Doswell Medical Building, the first phase of the Nexus Campus master plan. The project began with relocating the existing CDC playground and fencing to the west side of the CDC building, ensuring continuity for Nexus’ youngest clients. Following this, construction will commence on the one-story
Doswell Medical Building at the heart of the campus on La Prada Drive. This facility will include admissions offices, group counseling rooms, an on-site pharmacy, medical exam rooms, detox dormitories, counselor offices, and medical provider spaces, reflecting Nexus’ dedication to holistic healing. The project also involves demolishing and removing the current Adult Women's 2 dormitory, known as the “Med Room,” and completing a new circular campus entry. This entry will improve accessibility, featuring a client drop-off area outside the Doswell Medical Building to enhance the campus’s functionality and aesthetic appeal.
