Ochsner O’Neal Hospital ER Renovation

MAPP completed a complex renovation of the Emergency Department for Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana. This project involved critical upgrades within an active, fully operational hospital environment—requiring precision, adaptability, and the highest safety standards. Working in an occupied setting, the team maintained strict negative air pressure and implemented real-time air quality monitoring to ensure patient safety and prevent dust infiltration into clinical spaces.

Due to the active nature of the emergency department, access to certain areas was restricted, requiring frequent reconfiguration of the project schedule and close coordination with hospital staff. The team successfully navigated logistical challenges such as limited downtime windows for vital systems—including a 15-minute med gas tap, a procedure that would typically take eight hours. Through strategic planning and collaboration, MAPP delivered the renovation while prioritizing the health, safety, and uninterrupted care of Ochsner’s patients.
