Ochsner ER Renovation

MAPP is currently partnering with Ochsner Health for a complex renovation of their Emergency Department in New Orleans, Louisiana. This project involves critical upgrades within an active, fully operational hospital environment—demanding precision, adaptability, and the highest safety standards. Working in an occupied setting, the team must maintain strict negative air pressure and implement real-time air quality monitoring to ensure patient safety and prevent dust infiltration into clinical spaces.

Due to the active nature of the emergency department, access to certain areas is restricted, requiring frequent reconfiguration of the project schedule and agile coordination with hospital staff. The team has navigated logistical challenges such as limited downtime windows for vital systems—including a 15-minute med gas tap, a procedure that would typically take eight hours. Through close collaboration and strategic planning, MAPP continues to advance this renovation while prioritizing the health, safety, and uninterrupted care of Ochsner’s patients.
